Cara Trapani

Cara has significant experience investigating allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other misconduct. Her deep understanding of workplace dynamics and dedication to fostering healthy workplaces led her to transition from litigation to a career in investigations.

Since launching Buehler Trapani LLP, Cara has conducted numerous workplace and Title IX investigations for public and private employers, universities, and school districts. Her empathetic and detail-oriented approach enables her to impartially navigate sensitive and complex issues, while also providing timely, high-quality work.

In her prior career, Cara practiced civil rights and employment litigation at Rosen Bien Galvan & Grunfeld, LLP, a preeminent boutique litigation firm in San Francisco. She represented incarcerated people, people with disabilities, business leaders, and employees in a variety of complex litigation and pre-litigation matters at the trial court and appellate levels in both state and federal court. She has litigated some of the most significant civil rights class action cases on behalf of incarcerated people in California.

Cara served as a law clerk to the Honorable Harry Pregerson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (2016-2017).
