Jessica Winter

Jessica brings more than a decade of experience in complex litigation and in federal and state courts to her investigations practice at Buehler Trapani LLP. Jessica worked at preeminent litigation firms in San Francisco, where she advocated for employees, public entities, and mentally ill incarcerated people. Jessica used her empathy and lived experience to investigate complex and challenging situations and to seek relief and equitable outcomes for her clients. In her work at the federal and state courts, Jessica honed her skills in reviewing and assimilating complex information from briefs and extensive case records and worked to resolve each case with compassion, fairness, and legal acumen.

As an investigator, Jessica is committed to understanding different perspectives in complex and sensitive workplace situations, and to impartially ascertain the truth. In doing so, she seeks to promote healthy and productive work environments by helping employers and employees to problem-solve and move on after challenging situations.

Jessica served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jon S. Tigar in the Northern District of California from 2014 to 2015, and to the Honorable Marsha S. Berzon in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals from 2015 to 2016. From 2023 to 2025, Jessica served as a Senior Appellate Court Attorney in California’s First District Court of Appeals.
